Recently members of our team, Christina and Grace, went on a trip to the USA to present our RESORT 25 Collection to prospective wholesale clients. Come behind the scenes with them as they discuss the trip, some recommendations on where they went, and what they are most excited to see launch this season.
Can you start by giving us an overview of your trip and where you went?
Our recent trip took us from the bustling streets of New York City, where we spent six nights visiting our showroom and connecting with clients, to the sunny shores of Miami for three nights at the Cabana Swim Show. In NYC, we immersed ourselves in the heart of fashion, showcasing KIVARI’s latest collections, while Miami offered a vibrant platform to network and promote our brand in the fashion industry. It was an unforgettable experience that was a perfect blend of inspiration and opportunity, setting the stage for KIVARI’s growth in the fashion world.
Why the USA in particular?
The USA is a key market for KIVARI, with its diverse and trend-forward fashion audience. New York and Miami, as global fashion hubs, are perfect for showcasing our Resort 2024 collection. By participating in NY Market and Cabana Swim Show, we’re able to expand our reach, strengthen retail partnerships, and connect with a community that aligns with KIVARI’s effortless style.
What pieces from the Resort 25 collection were people excited to see?
At both NY Market and the Cabana Swim Show, there was a lot of excitement around our vibrant prints and flowing silhouettes. Key pieces that stood out included our statement maxi dresses and lightweight linen sets, which perfectly capture the laid-back luxury vibe of the KIVARI woman. The bold and effortless designs were a hit, with buyers loving the versatility and timelessness of these pieces for the upcoming season.
What did you guys love most about Miami? Any recommendations?
Miami’s energy is infectious. It’s a city that blends vibrant culture, fashion, and stunning coastal views, which made it the perfect setting for the Cabana Swim Show. We loved the beachside vibe that aligns so well with KIVARI’s resort collections. Plus, the local food scene is amazing! We highly recommend grabbing a meal at Carbone for incredible Italian dishes or heading to The 1 hotel Miami for cocktails by the pool with a gorgeous view. If you’re looking for a bit of retail therapy, the Design District is a must for some post-show inspiration.
You spent a few days in New York. Any favorite moments or places you went?
New York is always a highlight. A favorite moment was riding bikes through Central Park. We also loved wandering through SoHo for its unique boutiques and cafes. And of course, dinner at Balthazar was a must, classic New York dining at its finest.
Best restaurants in NYC?
Balthazar: Visit the famous Balthazar restaurant in Soho for an incredible french meal
Bar Pitti: A celebrity hotspot, visit Bar Pitti for aperitivo hour and snacks.
Le Dive: A french bistro inspired bar and restaurant, this trendy spot is a must visit if in the lower east side.
La Esquina: With a few locations around NYC, this Mexican taqueria and bar is an iconic institution within the city. We recommend the Soho Location for the best atmosphere.
The Django: This restaurant in Tribeca is a Paris-inspired jazz restaurant and bar, with live band performances to accompany great food and drinks.
Cervo’s: Cervo’s is a coastal Spain and Portugal inspired restaurant, with a crisp oyster and seafood bar, located in the heart of the lower east side.

5th Avenue: For the ultimate shopping destination, visit 5th Avenue, and pop into the famous Saks 5th Avenue Department Store, one of our stockists.
Soho: Spend the day exploring Soho, the home of many designer flagship stores with the most incredible interiors.
Brooklyn: For a one of a kind vintage shopping experience, visit Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and stroll through the streets lined with endless vintage and consignment stores.
What pieces are you both most excited to see launch this season?
Grace: I’m excited about the Olina Strappy Maxi Dress. Its flowing silhouette and vibrant print perfectly capture that effortless KIVARI vibe. Plus, the Stellar Playsuit is another favorite of mine; it's so versatile and perfect for any occasion.
Christina: I can’t wait for the Juanita Shirt and Pant set to launch. The relaxed yet polished look is ideal for the season, and I love how it can be dressed up or down. It really embodies the laid-back luxury we aim for at KIVARI.
